Fair Seating
Reported by Christopher Giroir | October 2nd, 2009 @ 06:53 PM
Em requested these:
- Out of total raids scheduled
- How many times a person has signed up
- How many times they haven't
- If they signed up, how many times they were seated
- An option to tag a signup as a "No-show" before replacing them
with someone else in a finalized raid.
- When tagging as "no-show" there could be a drop-down menu (or something similar) that lets us mark the no-show with "Advance notice" or "No notice"
- Moderators could then have an option somewhere to view the total number of times a person hasn't shown up, as well as being able to see how many times they gave us prior notice and how many times they just didn't.
This obviously wouldn't be a fair way to judge seatings if it was out of total raids COD has EVER scheduled. So maybe, for fairness sake, have the system let us also see "all raids scheduled within the past 2 months" or something like that?

Stats are implemented. Please comment on display and stuff like that. You can edit no show status at the bottom of the page.

A few things...
The total numbers are probably not necessary to display at all. It just isn't useful (to me) because so many people have come in after the raid site was started.
We don't care if someone has signed up with alts (which right now increases their sign-up number). You either signed up or you didn't.
When viewing someone who is seated it displays all of their alts. That is great b/c I need to know, but it also shows their statistics once for each alt. It is fine in the waiting list, but here it makes the list too long.
I'll add more if I think of them :)

Totals removed.
Signups only count per raid, so numbers add up now.
The alts (when showing seated people) do not show stats.
We probably should rework no shows into their own model so it can be per account per raid. I will do this tonight.
No show data that you may have set will probably be wiped.

In addition to seeing when people haven't shown up, would it be possible to see when they've been seated either from the wait list, or when they've stepped in without even necessarily being on the wait list?
I feel like that's behavior that should be rewarded, so it'd useful to keep track of.

Right now the waiting list is just people that aren't seated (or don't have another signup of the same account seated).
We would have to make a new flag "Savior of Raids" or something that we attach to people when this happens and then count them if we wanted this.
If we want this, should we just be "tagging" accounts per raid with flags that you can control, that will then be counted up?
For example.... if CoD uses 'No Show', 'Excused No Show' and 'Cake Hero' then Kelsin's stats might be like:
No Show 0 1m 0 3m Excused No Show 1 1m 2 3m Cake Hero 5 1m 10 3m
Etc? And you can use these tags however you want? (With a drop down to make assigning ones you've used easy)

The only negative (not that I think it's big) is that we can't really have sums of flags the way I have a "Total no-show" count now, but honestly I don't even think that's really useful.

oh yeah, I don't care how many times someone has been a no show if they have been a no-show 5 times but they were excused all 5 times
