WoWHead search function
Reported by Kraphtdinner | September 25th, 2009 @ 05:18 PM
When assigning new loot to raid members in Trial of the Crusader normal mode, The WoWHead search is automatically assigning the heroic mode version by default. Current work-around is to edit loot after it's been assigned.

So this is due to items that have the EXACT same name right? The items have two levels but the same name? That's going to make it really hard since the search just searches by name.

You're right. It's pretty much impossible to tell the difference between the two by name alone, so you can't type anything in the search box to tweak the results.
For now, this issue will only give you back no more than two results; normal and heroic. Unless there's a way for the function to display both search results and have you be able to click which one you want, you could just opt to use the work-around. Once you have the correct item in the database, it's already attached to the instance so the next time it drops, you can just use the drop-down list.
